Email Signature Template

An email signature template gives you a tested HTML structure that renders correctly in Outlook and Gmail — the two clients that break most custom signatures. The templates below use table-based layout and inline CSS because that's the only approach guaranteed to work across all email clients, including Outlook's Word rendering engine.

What Makes a Template Work

Table layout

HTML tables are the only layout method supported across all email clients. Flexbox, grid, and float all fail in desktop Outlook. Every template above is built on a table structure.

Inline CSS only

Gmail strips <style> blocks from emails. Every CSS property must be applied directly on the element via the style attribute.

Web-safe fonts

Arial, Helvetica, Georgia, Times New Roman. Google Fonts don't load in Outlook or Gmail. Always include a fallback: font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif.

Images via HTTPS URL

No base64, no local paths, no SVG (Outlook doesn't support SVG). PNG for logos, JPG for photos. Hosted on a public HTTPS URL.

Width constraints

Max-width 540–600px. Beyond this, signatures overflow on mobile email views (320px viewport minus padding). Use width attribute + inline CSS width for Outlook DPI fix.
