Email Signature for Accountants
An accountant's email signature communicates professional credibility through chartered designations — ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or their Fellow equivalents. For firms, it also serves as a compliance vehicle for Companies Act disclosures and regulatory body registration. Getting the post-nominals right matters — clients and professional contacts notice.

What to Include
Full name with chartered designation
Post-nominals after your name: ACA, FCA, ACCA, FCCA, ACMA, FCMA, CA, CTA. If you hold both ACCA and CTA, list both. Place them in order of relevance to your role, not alphabetically.
Job title
'Partner', 'Tax Director', 'Audit Manager', 'Senior Accountant'. Match your firm's official title structure. For sole practitioners: 'Proprietor' or 'Director'.
Firm name
Full legal name. For LLPs: 'Smith & Jones LLP'. The LLP suffix is legally required in all correspondence.
Direct phone number
DDI or direct extension. Clients expect to reach their accountant directly, not via a switchboard. Include mobile if client-facing.
Firm website
Link to the firm's homepage or your profile page if the firm publishes individual staff profiles.
Regulatory disclosure (if applicable)
For audit-registered firms: 'Registered to carry on audit work by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales'. For probate work: similar registration statement.
Company/LLP disclosures
If a limited company or LLP: registered name, number, registered office, country of registration. Required by Companies Act 2006.
